About Bereket-AB
Bereket-AB Asghedom is a father, grandfather, and a seeker of truth — or so he thought. For most of his life, he believed he was the one searching. But in truth, he was the one being found.
Born in Eritrea as Bereket-AB Asghedom, his name carried weight. In Hebrew, names are not mere labels — they are identity, calling, and covenant. Yet over time, through migration, culture, and the drift of life, the suffix “AB” — meaning Father — was lost. He became known simply as Bereket Asghedom, his legal name. The fullness of his identity had been quietly set aside.
The Seeker Who Was Found
For years, Bereket-AB lived as a political activist and businessman, navigating life across Europe and North America. He built and lost businesses. He experienced the pain of family breakdown and the shame of two divorces. He roamed three continents — Africa, Europe, and Canada — searching for home, identity, and purpose.
But a season of collapse brought him to his knees. In his desperation, he encountered the One he thought he had been seeking all along.
He was found by Yahshua.
The moment of surrender was quiet but profound: he opened the door of his heart, and the Seeker became the Shepherd. That encounter changed everything — but the full restoration of his identity was still unfolding.
The Funeral — A Divine Trigger
Decades later, at a funeral in Frankfurt, a childhood friend from Eritrea appeared before him. The encounter lasted less than a minute. The friend, in a hurry, looked at him and called out:
“Bereket-AB!”
His full original name. The name he had not heard spoken in over 62 years.
Bereket-AB stood frozen. Stunned. By the time he could gather himself, the friend was gone. But in that fleeting moment, something broke open. He understood: the loss of his name was not accidental. And its return was not coincidence — it was a divine trigger.
The Wounded Healer
That brief encounter became the catalyst for his writing. He realized that Hebrew names carry profound meaning. The suffix AB — Father — had been lost, but its recovery pointed to something greater: the restoration of identity, covenant, and calling.
His study deepened through key resources:
- The Ancient Hebrew Language by Jeff A. Benner
- Corrupting The Image II by Dr. Douglas Hamp
- The Restoration Study Bible (RSB), 4th Edition 2019
These works helped him reconnect with the Hebraic foundation of faith — not as a scholar, but as a wounded healer. He writes not from theory, but from collapse and restoration. His testimony is not one of perfection, but of being found, renamed, and sent back to help others find their way home.
The Foundational Quest Series (7 Volumes)
This journey — from lost identity to reclaimed covenant — is the bedrock of his signature work, The Foundational Quest Series (7 Volumes). Through these writings, he provides a practical field manual for others searching for an unshakable foundation. It is the map he wishes he had for his own journey — guiding readers from spiritual seeking to a reclaimed covenant identity and an eternal legacy.
The Crucible — A Flagship for Frankfurt
Bereket-AB’s flagship book, The Crucible, is a faith-based memoir and spiritual warfare manual. It chronicles his journey from grief and political imprisonment to spiritual awakening — set against the backdrop of the Ethiopian Red Terror and the Eritrean struggle for independence. The book reveals that our true enemy is not flesh and blood, but the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
The Crucible is being prepared for the Frankfurt International Book Fair (7–11 October 2026) and is the first of multiple titles, with planned translations into German (Deutsch) and other global languages.
Today
Bereket-AB resides in Germany, striving to rebuild the bridges to his children and grandchildren, and praying that his testimony will lead many others home to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
He is the founder of Cornerstone Publishing — a publishing house dedicated to equipping the wounded, the seekers, the discerners, and the unlearners with truth that sets them free.
